I bought a set of these orange lights for Halloween. One set lasted just fine, rain and all. The other set died in the rain after two weeks. They were NOT submerged in water and I bought these with the promise that they were waterproof for outdoors.
So disappointed that I have to throw away one set after such a short time. I had the stakes set in the ground near what I thought would be a bit protected. That was the set that died.
Update- 11/01/22- It was dry all day today and I checked the lights again. They mustve dried out enough because they started working again. I bought a set of multi colored lights for the winter holidays so will see how they fare in December
